2021 Programme

The programation

The festival's program is open to films, scripts, video clips and series. The films to be presented in the competitive program of the Jade Jaguar Cinema Festival are selected by the festival's curatorship, also for the Festival's non-competitive program. All invited films are invited by Festival programmers through the programming department.

Those selected and winners of the different categories of the award can mention the selection and the award as announced, nationally and internationally, in all advertising and promotional material. All selected films will receive a certificate of participation and films in competition will receive a certificate from the Competition Program.

Competitive Programming

An official selection from the Jade Jaguar Cinema Festival where the best independent cinematographic works compete in different categories.

Non-Competitive Programming

We present world premieres and non-premieres of narrative films, with the selection of new innovative voices in independent cinema.

Documentary Competition

We present provocative nonfiction feature films, with interesting themes, bringing reflections on the present.

Video-Music Programming

We present independent musical art videos with new perspectives and creative styles.

Series Programming

We present episodes of narrative, dramatic and documentary series from independent cinema.

Experimental Programming

We bring here a program with videos with experimental aesthetics, with new perspectives and styles.

Our amazing jury consisted of industry professionals and some of the best critics, directors, designers, musicians and actors able to award the best audiovisual works with Jade Jaguar.

The Jade Jaguar Awards may be given by the festival in recognition of outstanding achievements in filmmaking in each categories: Screenplay, Narrative features, Short films, Animation, Experimental, Documentary, Music videos, Webseries, Food films and Family friendly features.

Screenwriter

We are so happy and excited for all of the screenplay submited for the festival. The Jade Jaguar recognizes and honors screenwrites who demonstrate excellence in the creativity and technique. By awarding these outstanding scripts, the Jade Jaguar strives to support and inspire emerging screenwrites and to foster growth and education in the art and science of scripts. Submit your script!
